The Southwest Suburban Chicago Chapter of the NCGR is currently meeting at the Palos Heights Recreation Center 6601 West 127th Street, Palos Heights (708) 361-1807 on the 1st Friday evening of the month (7:00 PM). If you would like to attend or would like to talk with the president of this chapter you may contact Patricia M. Hanus at 708-444-8323 any time. Members $5.00, non-members $10.00. April 6, 2012, Alan Salmi will lecture on The Four Humors/Elements. A simple approach to the four elements and personality will be shown and also will be tied into the work of 60's radical psychologist Timothy Leary and his escape from prison. Alan holds a Master's Degree from the University of Michigan and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He is certified by the National Council for Geocosmic Research at Level II in astrology and is a member of the International Society for Astrological Research.

May 4, 2012, Dave Gunning will lecture on The Uranus-Pluto Square: A Global Crisis for 2012 and Beyond. Dave is a professional astrologer, contributor and writer for Del Horoscope Magazine. Dave teaches astrology and also Karmic astrology throughout the Chicago area. He is a graduate of the Temple of Kriya Yoga, having studied under Goswaimi Kriyananda.

November 2, 2012, We are honored to have Christine Arens lecture for us on The Year Ahead,2013, Eclipses and Planetary Events. The information she presents is helpful in getting us ready and informed for the year ahead. Christine is a professional astrologer/teacher and President of Friends of Astrology. She is a board member of the AFA, Kepler College and a member of the NCGR Level III. She teaches astrology at the Unity Church. She is also very kind to bring books, calendars and Ephemerides for us to look over and to buy. This lady is a phenomena.

About The National Council for Geocosmic Research

Statement of Purpose

The purpose of NCGR shall be to provide an environment to foster and publish research of a geocosmic nature and to pursue educational programs in various interdisciplinary fields related to geocosmic studies with a view to granting certification recognizing individual achievement in such fields.The term “geocosmic” is defined as “of or pertaining to the study of correspondences and cycles involving earthly phenomena and cosmic (celestial) events.”
