The National Council for Geocosmic Research

Southwest Suburban Chicago NCGR Chapter in Tinley Park, Illinois, US.

The Southwest Suburban Chicago Chapter of the NCGR is currently meeting at the Palos Heights Recreation Center 6601 West 127th Street, Palos Heights, IL 60463 (708) 361-1807 on the 1st Friday of the month at 7:00 PM of these months only: March, April, May, June, Sept, Oct, Nov.  If you would like to attend or would like to talk with the president of this chapter you may contact Patricia M. Hanus at 708-444-8323 any time.  Members $5.00, non-members $10.00.  We book speakers on various topics of astrology. Anyone interested in astrology is welcome and do not have to be a member. Bring a friend. Our next meetings and lecture topics are:

 June 7^th, 2013. Mahala Bacon, Th.D., Astrology is the Most Reliable Voice of the Universe.    Mahala is a senior Pastor/Counselor/Intuitive at the Evangelical Spiritual Church, a graduate of Williams College, a Master Intuitive and founder of the United Spiritual council of Nations. She is an advisor and counselor to individuals from coast to coast and in Europe and India. She is an astrologer, she teaches, gives lectures, seminars, does workshops and intuitive  readings all of which are based on helping to educate the spiritually minded on their journey to deepen their innate wisdom and enhance their life force. There will be a Bake Sale at this meeting so bakers please bring  your best baked gods and it's up to the rest of us to bring our wallets. Bake Sale proceeds goes into our "kitty" to help pay the rent.

 July/August No Meetings due to vacation months

 September 6^th, 2013. John Brunell. Topic to be announced.  John is a well-known professional astrologer and consultant in the Chicago and surrounding areas. John is at ease with the technical aspects of astrology and can discuss most any topic. Try getting a biography out of him. John is way too modest of his accomplishments and acclaim.  He always brings us new information.

 October 4^th, 2013. Grace Morris, M.A.:  THE RIGHT TIME:  How to choose the best time to get married, to form a corporation, have a Grand Opening, schedule a workshop, sign a contract for dancing lessons, flying lessons or the health club.  when to push forward and when to "lay back".  It is all a matter of timing!  Grace is a certified counselor and member of the American Counseling Association. She is a professional member of OPA, NCGR, ISAR, AFA, and ISBA. She  is president of Astro-Economics, Inc., and  has appeared on radio, TV, given lectures and workshops around the world. She is the editor/publisher of the Astro Economics Stock Market Newsletter and Author of the book series, How to Choose Stocks to Outperform the Market.

October 4th, there will be a Bake Sale this meeting. So, all you wonderful bakers please bake your best baked goods, priced to sell. All proceeds goes into our kitty. Anyone can be a contributing baker. Thank You.  

 November 1^st, 2013. Christine Arens’ topic:  Eclipses and Planetary Events for 2014.  The information she presents is helpful in getting us ready and informed for the year ahead. Christine is a professional astrologer, teacher and lecturer. She is a board member of the AFA and Kepler College. She is President of Friends of Astrology. She teaches astrology classes at the Unity Church in Oak Park, in IL. She is a certified member of the AFA, level IV and NCGR level III. Christine’s dedication to the field of astrology is outstanding. She, too, is a professional professor of astrology and we are always honored to have her lecture for us.  She is also very kind to bring books, calendars and Ephemerides for us to look over and to buy. This lady is a phenomena.


Anyone can attend who is interested in astrology.

We have lectures pertaining to astrology topics throughout the year with the exception of July, August, December, January and February months.

Bring a friend(s). Members $5.00 and Non-members $10.00. Plenty of parking. Hope to see you there.

NCGR Membership is open to anyone interested in astrology and astrological research. To join an NCGR Chapter nearest you contact the Membership Director, Liane Thomas Wade, at (212) 838-6247, or go to the National Website at:  www.geocosmic.org and select "Join NCGR" from the navigation bar menu.

Education

The NCGR offers a four-level testing program that leads to certification in four professional specialties: Consultation, Instruction, Statistical Research and General Studies.  For further information about NCGR's educational programs: go to eduadmin@geocosmic.org.
