The Southwest Suburban Chicago Chapter of the NCGR is currently meeting at the Palos Heights Recreation Center 6601 West 127th Street, Palos Heights (708) 361-1807 on the 1st Friday evening of the month (7:00 PM). If you would like to attend or would like to talk with the president of this chapter you may contact Patricia M. Hanus at 708-444-8323 any time. Members $5.00, non-members $10.00. We book speakers on various topics of astrology. Anyone interested in astrology is welcome and do not have to be a member. Bring a friend. Our next meetings and lecture topics are:

September 3rd, 2010 John Brunell will discuss a variety of topics which will include: The History of Astrology, Relationships, the Prophet Mohammed and the Future of Astrology. John is a professional astrologer and consultant in the Chicago area. John is at ease with the technical aspects of astrology and can discuss any topic. (There is a Bake Sale this meeting.) October 1st, 2010: Jon Parks: Lecture: The Astrological Stages Of Life: Childhood Through Old Age. Jon will be looking at the traditional 7 stages of life, each ruled by one of 7 visible planets. Ptolemy first described it almost 2000 years ago, but has since been forgotten until recently. Jon is a member of Friends of Astrology, ISAR, AFAN and past President of the Chicago NCGR. Jon is a respected professional astrologer known through out the Chicago area. He is well versed on most all-technical areas of astrology.

National Council for Geocosmic Research

Statement of Purpose

The purpose of NCGR shall be to provide an environment to foster and publish research of a geocosmic nature and to pursue educational programs in various interdisciplinary fields related to geocosmic studies with a view to granting certification recognizing individual achievement in such fields.The term “geocosmic” is defined as “of or pertaining to the study of correspondences and cycles involving earthly phenomena and cosmic (celestial) events.”
