General Information

• To help you learn it is suggested that you have your birth chart alongside you during class. I will provide you your birth chart free. But you must provide your accurate birth data, the day, year and time (am/pm) and location of birth. Please no guessing: 4 minutes can make a big difference in a horoscope. It is best you gain your accurate birth date from your birth certificate. If you prefer not to use your own horoscope during the class, that is acceptable.
• Class size is limited, so early registration is suggested.
• The cost of this 5-week course is $98.00 US, and it includes the textbook, The Making of Sages: A Primer For Learning Basic Astrology, Volume I, a $35.00 value and your free copy of your natal chart.
• There are no tests. There are exercises and quizzes to help you learn. You will not be graded.
• You are responsible for reading the chapters and completing the worksheets and quizzes on your own. The instructor will go over the homework assignments each week during the live conferences.
• This step-by-step school learning will help prepare you for potential entry into officially accredited astrology school programs like Kepler College. Or you can use the knowledge you gain here for your own personal use. These classes will give you a sound, in depth, astrological foundation for future learning.
• You will receive a student textbook to learn from in PDF format. It is a $35.00 value free to the student and needs to be downloaded onto the student’s computer. It is preferred that you down load the textbook into a 3-ring binder in order to make it easier to follow along with the teacher during the live conference each week.
• There will be 5 live online class sessions scheduled for one hour each week.
• The live sessions are interactive, in which you will see and hear the instructor and you can ask questions.
• Tim Prentiss will host the conferences each week.

• You can register and pay through PayPal or send a money order or certified check to Patricia M. Hanus at least two weeks before the class begins.
• You will be given a link to get into the online class each week.
• Class size is strictly limited, so early registration is encouraged.

Required and suggested materials for this course in learning basic astrology:

• A computer headset with a microphone is suggested for use in the interactive presentations. This will enable you to talk and ask questions in the weekly on live sessions. 
• If you don’t have a computer headset with a microphone then you will need to use the telephone dial-up method. This is not a toll free number.
• It is required that you have the PDF file, The Making Of Sages: A Primer For Learning Basic Astrology, Volume I downloaded on your hard drive. This text, approximately 161 pages, is a $35.00 value and free to you as a student.
• It is suggested that you download the text into a hard copy and put it into a 3-ring binder in order to follow along with the instructor as she points out different pages on the screen for class discussion.
• It is suggested that you provide your birth data information to the instructor before class starts. You will be e-mailed your natal chart which you will refer to when learning about astrology. Please note that accurate information regarding the day, year, time (am/pm), and location is imperative. If you don’t have a birth certificate to gather the correct information, then inform the instructor that you only have the day and year. Your own natal chart by your side during each class will enable you to become more familiar and learn more quickly with how a horoscope works.
• You do not need special software to attend online classes but you should log on 15 minutes before the first class begins to set up the online meeting room for your computer.

Goals for Step-by-Step School for Learning Basic Astrology

• Astro-Visio's goal is to provide learning experience for an Internet audience with economically priced educational content via real-time videoconferencing. You do not have to leave the comforts of your home.

• The purpose is to reach out to those who want to expand their knowledge of astrology, but would prefer the personal touch of a real live teacher guiding them through this extraordinary journey.

• This is a learning process designed to help make the new student feel at ease in the beginning stages. There are no deadlines. Students will not be graded. You can learn at your own pace. This is hands-on learning.
